The Songbook Committee is a subcommitte of the SOUP Steering Committee
Behind the scenes a group of SOUP members who volunteer their time and energy to keep the songbook filled with a diverse mix of music. It takes many hours of work to get each song formatted, proofed and finalized for the songbook. The test songs played at the jams sometimes end up in the official songbook but that happens only after feedback from the group and from the volunteers who work to put a new song in a format everyone can play. How To Submit a Song By email: [email protected] Send us an email and tell us briefly why you think your suggested song would be fun to do at SOUP. Include a link to a songsheet or attach a file of a songsheet with lyrics and chords. Also include a link to a corresponding Youtube video for the song. In person: Give a copy of the song with lyrics and chords to any jam night leader. Write your name, email address and phone number at the top or on the back. Include a Youtube URL if you have one. On the back of the sheet, tell us briefly why you think this would be a good song to play at SOUP. |
